Why I started Clean Choice
Credibility, connection, and a personal touch.
I started The Clean Choice Project because misinformation and misguided nutrition advice are widespread across the media. I wanted to create a place where people in my community—and anywhere else—could access credible information supported by multiple peer-reviewed sources and reliable publications. Those sources are clearly cited in articles written by our student members so readers can understand not only what we are sharing, but also where the information comes from.
I also wanted the opportunity to facilitate meaningful community outreach programs. One of my goals is to visit residential communities and senior living homes to educate older adults who may be less connected to current media, emerging nutrition conversations, or reliable guidance about what may support their well-being.
Optimistically, I hope this work can make a significant positive difference in people’s health—whether that means supporting their energy, helping them feel better mentally, improving how they feel physically, or simply giving them greater confidence in the choices they make every day.
The Clean Choice Project brings research, student leadership, and service together. It is a place where young people can learn how to communicate credible information responsibly while creating a direct and personal impact within the community.
